Dolphin Group is currently hiring a Scaffolding Engineer to join its engineering team in Abu Dhabi. This role focuses on the design, planning, inspection, and safety assurance of scaffolding structures for major projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and site-specific safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review scaffolding design drawings & calculations as per project requirements.
• Approve scaffold designs submitted by subcontractors.
• Provide customized scaffolding solutions for complex structural needs.
• Supervise scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, BS EN 12811, CISRS, OSHAS, and other safety standards.
• Maintain scaffold registers, reports, and handover certificates.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and permits.
• Train and support scaffolding crews with toolbox talks and guidance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Certifications: CISRS / CITB / NASC or equivalent in Scaffolding Engineering.
• Preferred: Scaffolding Design Certification, NEBOSH/IOSH.
• Experience: 3–4 years in scaffolding design and supervision in oil & gas, construction, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems (cuplock, ringlock, tube & fitting).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design/drawing software.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical and structural scaffolding knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Strong awareness of HSE regulations and risk management.
• Attention to detail and leadership skills.

Work Conditions

• Site-based role; may include extended hours or weekend work.
• Physically fit for scaffolding inspections at height.
• Mandatory PPE usage.
